Question:
This patient has moderate lower crowding. She wore fixed edgewise appliances for a long time and unfortunately has had orthodontic relapse. The proposed treatment plan is an Inman Aligner followed by a Clear Aligner and a bonded retainer. Is this a good case?

Answer:
This case looks fine, but it is totally dependent on the patient's incisal occlusion. The best way to visualize this is to look at the study models. If there is room to advance the lower incisors, then this case is definitely treatable. Not much IPR would be needed as the teeth are advancing. Only 0.13mm of IPR per contact is needed each time. Anchors may be needed behind the instanding teeth to stop the bow from riding over the incisal edge. The plan to follow the IA with a Clear Aligner to finish off the case and then to retain with a bonded lingual wire is a good idea.
